Where did your desire come from? (SSN)

Have you ever asked yourself or thought about where your desires came from anyway? If all is God then… maybe the desires came from God? From the Universe? From something deeper than just you?

Contemplate the following from Spiritual Economics by Eric Butterworth:

“…The universal principle is ‘before they call I will answer’ (Is. 65:24) In the great unity of all life, when you have a need, the answer is already moving on its way toward you. Before you formulate a desire in mind, it is God in you desiring.”

Holy Schnickies! “…it is God in you desiring.”

Again from Spiritual Economics by Eric Butterworth:

“You are entitled to the support of God-substance in everything to which you give your mind or hands… You are a creative expression of the Universe, with the responsibility to let your light shine. Thus you owe the world a life. But in all the many ways in which you apply yourself in the world, the Universe owes you complete support.”

Take spacial note of the following:

1. “You are a creative expression of the Universe.” Again, you are part of the Universal life force. You are part of God. God is not evil. You are not evil.*

2. “…in which you apply yourself in the world, the Universe owes you complete support.”
You are worthy just by existing. You just need to APPLY yourself to get the support of the universe!

Takeaway: You are part of the Universe. You are part of God. You are worthy. But it is up to you to start moving towards your desires in order to obtain them.

*Be sure you are clear on your true desire. Remember, harming another is NEVER a true desire. See “How can I say desires are not good or bad? What about bad things, like desiring to kill someone?” in the Unscribbling book. And remember:

Takeaway: Behind any perceived desire to harm, there is a deeper desire to be discovered. One with solutions that do not involve violence.
