We are moving our blogging outreach…

Big News…

We’ve created a new vehicle for our outreach called “Big Heart Living” and will be moving all of our outreach efforts to Big Heart Living going forward.

We will still be exploring problem solving and how to make your dreams come true, but we will also be using the site to promote good thoughts and insights (from wherever I can find them) that can help lead to greater peace, love, happiness, and kindness in the world!

Check it out at: BigHeartLiving.com

Peace, Love, Happiness, and Kindness

And… We Have a New Book!

On another note, I teamed up with my friend, Dena Mercer, and together we created: Unpuzzling Spirituality: An Introduction to Spiritual Thoughts to Create a Big, Happy, Peaceful, and Loving Life (Ages 9 and up). I want to thank you all for your encouragement, advice, and support. Writing the book has been a great experience and with it we are hoping to:

  • To help people of all ages develop their spirituality, know what it is, and how it can influence their lives.
  • To give parents a language and understanding of spirituality so that they can talk to their kids in terms their kids will understand.
  • To ultimately help the world become more peaceful, compassionate, and loving, by helping individuals find a sense of inner peace and understanding.

We will be utilizing BigHeartLiving to help promote some of the ideas from the Unpuzzling Spirituality book too!

5 Ways To Bring Out Your Introvert’s Creativity During Group Brainstorming Sessions (Plus 5 more ideas for the introverts)

All my life I have been labeled “creative” but I live with a secret no creative person is supposed to admit… I can’t stand group brainstorming sessions (most of them anyway). I literally cringe at the thought, and generally freeze up in these meetings. I am just not that kind of creative. Mostly because I am also an introvert. My creativity works best when I have alone time to think, process and mull things over in my mind before bouncing ideas around in a group.

But even then the group brainstorming can be nerve-wracking. Do you know how hard it is for an introvert to “shout out an idea” whenever it comes to you? Introverts tend to be deep listeners too. So we tend to be actually listening when others are shouting out their ideas, but then we tend to like to take a moment to process before we speak. By the time we are ready to put our two cents in, another idea is usually on the white board and we are trying to switch gears to listen to that one. This can leave the introverted creative looking, well… uncreative. (In some cases this can even cost you promotions as “team playing extroverts” unknowingly hog the spotlight. But that is a whole other topic.*)

But this isn’t just a problem for the introverts. This kind of process can be a detriment to your entire company. If you don’t learn to accommodate the introverts more you could be missing out on some brilliant ideas.

So what can a company do to help bring out the brilliance of their introverts?

1. Give a detailed agenda

A bullet point agenda works fine if everyone knows the back story of each agenda item, but if you are introducing new items try giving more details.

I.e. instead of:

“• Upcoming Trade Show”

Try:

“• Upcoming Trade Show: We would like to brainstorm ideas for giveaways and attention grabbers that can appear in the booth. Please come with some ideas.”

By giving a more detailed description of what you are going to be talking about you give that introverted creative a chance to privately play with and explore some of their ideas ahead of time. That private play time tends to be when their true creativity comes out.

2. Hold a “briefing” meeting before the big brainstorming session Introvert

If your agenda item is too complex to add just a sentence explaining things, hold a “briefing” meeting where you layout the issue or problem and then let everyone go do their research and creative thinking before you come back together for group brainstorming. Your team will come to the actual brainstorming meeting better informed and hopefully with some great solutions already.

“Don’t just jump into brainstorming. Obey the shower rule! allow for at least one shower in between... Don’t want to hold yet another meeting? Great! Your co-workers will love you! Record a quick video of yourself explaining the situation and allow people to view it when they can before the meeting.

No matter what, just get those brains working on the problem before the group brainstorming. A good general rule of thumb, allow for at least one shower in between the briefing and the brainstorming meeting. (Seriously, think of how many ideas you get in the shower.) This will help both the extroverts and the introverts.

3. Directly ask each participant

Remember, “shouting out ideas” for an introvert can be quite hard. Don’t just say, “shout out your answers.” Instead, go around the room and ask each individual in turn what they came up with or if they have anything to add. (FYI – This is where a good trained facilitator can be worth their weight in gold!)

4. Take a “think break”

Once you have all the ideas up on your white board, take a 15 minute “think break” and allow the introvert some alone time to process the ideas and write down their thoughts. And I mean ALONE to THINK. No quick checking emails or starting a little chat with your neighbor. Sit quietly and think on things. Once everyone has had a chance to think and write down some thoughts, have that facilitator call on people to bring out their concerns and new ideas.

5. Use “brainwriting” along with brainstorming

(I found this idea in Psychology Today.)

Basically, you write each idea on a separate piece of paper instead of on the whiteboard. You give everyone a different colored pen (different color pens are supposed to help with accountability), then silently start passing the pieces of paper around the table so everyone can privately add their own ideas and feed off the other ideas already written on the paper. If your group is big, they recommend that once the paper has five new thoughts added to it you “retire” it to the center of the table. Once all the papers are retired, THEN you talk, analyze and expand on the content of the papers. After that everyone makes a list of their favorite ideas (on their own), then the most popular ideas are pursued.

Wow! Can you imagine how that would focus your group and take away some of the office politics?

Not only that, but it helps to make sure no one’s ideas are lost (introverted or extroverted). Which is a good thing, as even an extrovert’s thoughts can get lost in un-facilitated “shout out brainstorming,” for:

“When you brainstorm, people have to wait a couple minutes to allow others to talk before they can reveal their ideas. People will lose confidence and start to think their ideas are unworthy or crazy.”

– Peter Heslin, business professor at Southern Methodist University and author of the study on Brainwriting.

And introvert, don’t just think this means you can hide and not work on yourself. The truth is, we live in a world that really loves, praises and promote extroverted qualities. So some advice for you:

1. Just do it!

It may be out of your nature to speak up and shout out your ideas, but do it anyway. Push yourself. The more you get in there and let people know your thoughts, the easier it will get.

2. Do what you have to do

If you tend to turn six shades of red when you speak up, like I do, wear a scarf or a turtleneck on brainstorming days so nobody asks you, “Are you okay?” every five minutes. Because that can distract from your ideas too. Use whatever tricks you have to do to make sure you are contributing and people are benefiting from your creativity.

3. Become a detective

Did you get just a bullet point agenda? Go to the agenda writer ahead of time and get more details so you have time to work your creative process a bit in private before the big meeting.

4. Ask for some time

If you can, ask for some time to think about the issues that were presented in your meeting. Usually this works well with my clients as I am able to say, “this is really interesting, do you mind if I play with the idea a bit and get back to you?” Or be proactive before your next meeting. Ask, “Can you tell me what projects are coming up so my mind has time to play with things and explore options before we jump in?”

To date, I have never had a client insist that I come up with a solution on the spot. This gives me time to work my introverted creative process and come back to them with some more well thought out solutions, that we can then brainstorm together and make even better.

5. Write down your thought

If all else fails, write down your thoughts. After the meeting, go to your private space, recharge, then start your creative process. When your brilliant ideas are all flushed out, write them down and send them to the team manger. Just say, “I’ve had a little more time to think about what we were talking about and I came up with a few more ideas I wanted to share with you.” The ideas might not go anywhere, but at least you have contributed. And that is the most important thing.

So…

Companies:
Help a girl out and give your introverts some private think time to work their creative process before or along with your brainstorming sessions. It isn’t going to take that much more time, but it could help yield a multitude of new ideas. Ideas that can then be presented and improved upon with a good group brainstorming session.

Introverts:
Remember, do what you need to do. Hiding your thoughts and creativity is not doing your company or you any good.

——-

*Side note: Did you know studies have shown that the introvert you just passed up for management position would probably make a better leader than the extrovert that got your attention? Introverted managers prove themselves to be better listeners and to think things through before they act, where extrovert can react sometimes too quickly. Don’t get me wrong, extroverts are awesome and can make great leaders too. My point is just that we shouldn’t just dismiss us introverts because we aren’t as visible or aren’t shouting out our answers.

Book Review: REVEAL – A Sacred Manual for Getting Spiritually Naked by Meggan Watterson

“Happiness comes when all that I am is being utilized. Happiness comes when what exists within me is being shared. Happiness is being aware of the gift of love I possess and then getting blessed with the opportunity to give it away.” - Meggan Watterson This book was like sitting down and talking with one of your girlfriends who is also into spirituality… only she is way cooler and has way more amazing stories too. The writing was very approachable and gave a wonderful feminine slant to the spiritual world/religions. (Might be a tad too feminine for most of you dudes, but you should read it anyway for the interesting facts and thoughts throughout.) It is those facts and thoughts that had me thinking, “well, that is interesting!” so many times throughout the book. The best part about them was how Watterson interweaves these teachings about women spiritual leaders/figures (from various religions) in a way that is in no way school booky. Honestly, it is like your cool girlfriend is telling you an interesting story. The only thing I felt that was really missing from this book was photos. The writer reverences images quite often and it would be nice to have those images right there too. (But then again the original Di Vinci Code books books didn’t have them either and that book did fine.) ;o)

Some bit from the book I particularly liked:

“One of the definitions of a miracle is simply to make wonderful…. a miracle is simply “a shift in perspective.”

“You may not be where you wanted or expected to be at this point in your life, but you can choose to acknowledge that you are right were you need to be.

This does not mean that where you are is not painful or frustrating. But it does mean that you have the power to change your life in an instant, simply by changing your perspective.”

We just cannot underestimate the power of changing our perspective, or our attitude. This tiny little shift can completely transform our experience of everything. AND, it is completely within our control. I love the thought that you have the power to change everything simply by changing your perspective.

“If we didn’t have baggage, if we didn’t have dark, troubling stories in our lives, how would we ever get to practice the power of our love? What if every traumatic event we’ve endured, every regretful choice we’ve made, is actually an opportunity for the soul to spread its wings? We lift the weight of what has held us down by choosing to believe that everything in our lives has happened for our soul’s formation. It has not only happened for a reason but happened exactly when it needed to.”

This is such a good thought to keep in mind when we go through those moments of “why me?” Why you? Well, because you are like everyone else. Because everyone goes through things and has to deal with things at times. EVERYONE. Even the most enlightened among us! And whatever issue you are facing is happening so that maybe you will grow. So choose to grow instead of complain. (People will like you better if you do too.)

“… there is really only one thing of importance in my life – cultivating the capacity to love.”

This theme seems to be coming up more and more and more and more I am seeing it’s truth. Ahhh.

“In those moments when fear eclipses what we want most for our lives, it is crucial to be able to connect to the still, calm voice that has a tight grasp on our greatest potential.”

Love it! Keep calm and listen BEFORE you jump into action. But then remember…

“… the soul-voice is that one voice that is always and in all circumstances the voice of unconditional love. ‘Choose,’ I heard my own soul ask me. ‘Choose love even now.'”

Yep, even when it is hard. But just to clarify, as Watteson will tell you too, don’t forget to love YOURSELF too. Don’t be a doormat in the name of love.

This next quote was an excerpt from an article by Ian McEwan:

“There was really only one thing for her to say, those three words that all the terrible art, the worst pop songs and movies, the most seductive lies, can somehow never cheapen. I love you.

She said it over and again before the line went dead. And that is what they were all saying into their phones, from the hijacked planes and the burning towers. There is only love, and then oblivion. Love was all they had to set against the hatred of their murderers.”

What a shift in perspective about such a horrible event. Amidst everything, so much love poured out into the world. So powerful!

“… I was happy – and it wasn’t the fleeting kind of happiness that relies on something or someone else to maintain it…[I was happy because] every gift that existed within me was called upon.

I found my own definition of happiness; I had tasted it. Happiness comes when all that I am is being utilized. Happiness comes when what exists within me is being shared. Happiness is being aware of the gift of love I possess and then getting blessed with the opportunity to give it away.”

Holy smokes! I love that. Isn’t that just the best feeling ever? When you can contribute with all your gifts and with love to boot? Oh, baby, I love that.

Lots of good bits in this book that will give you plenty to think about.

Some interesting thoughts from “F**k It Therapy”

Some quotes to make you think from “F**k It Therapy” by John C. Parkin…

The meaning behind F**k It?

“And so this one beautiful phrase has two opposing applications:
1. To help you let go and slow down.
2. TO help you go for it and get moving.”

“How much time do we spend looking for IT, and generally thinking that ‘this’ is not it?… But the true secret of F**k It Therapy is to see that IT is already here, and IT never went away in the first place.”

“…the problem for most of us is that we worry about things that, with even a little bit of perspective, REALLY DON’T MATTER and we spend so much time and energy worrying about those things that we don’t have enough time and energy for the THINGS THAT OBVIOUSLY DO… we need to say F**k It to those things that really don’t matter so much, and focus on those that do…”

“Don’t ever forget that you’re not your story. Story is ego.”

“What are you scared of? And, underneath, isn’t it all about loss?”

“… it’s not just that the un-faced problems and issues don’t go away, they multiply, because they want your attention. and when you give them attention, that’s when they soften, and you see the love.”

“Resistance IS futile. Give into reality as it is, just as it is. Don’t bother fighting it, resisting it, judging it, questioning it, trying to plan it or learning from it, seeing its higher plan or greater purpose. Get out of gear and slip into neutral.”

Unscribbling is SOOOO all over this thought regarding your wants…

“1. Recognize that you can be happy with what you have, but still ‘wanting’ something else, and the same time.
2. Being clear about what you want, but not being attached to it…
3. Being clear about what you want, but not knowing how you’re going to get it….
Life is happy because the brief is clear, but the ways to achieve it are loose.”

This sooo fits with Unscribbling’s “Stay open to possibilities!”

“By becoming more conscious of how we load each moment with judgement, prejudiced selection, and an agenda, we’re likely to see the ways in which we can become more open.”

“And we probably won’t get ‘it’ fully, ever. But by realizing that we won’t get it, everything about us relaxes, and loosens, so we become more like ‘it’ anyway, which is always soft and loose and moving.”

Interesting thoughts!

The difference between Goals/Wants and Desires

From “Step 1 – Become Aware – Setting goals versus pursuing your desires” in Unscribbling: the art of problem solving and fulfilling your desires.

What is the difference between wants and desires - important question to ask to fulfill your dreams! So, what is the difference between goals (or wants) and desires? Well, goals & wants tend to be specific solutions or benchmarks – rigid, unchanging and tangible. Something like:

  • I want to be promoted to manager by the time I am 35.
  • I want to be married by the time I am 28.
  • I want to own my own home.
  • I want kids of my own.
  • I want to retire by the time I am 62.
  • I want to be a billionaire.

But…. What happens if you are unable accomplish them in the timeline that you thought you should, or if they don’t work out at all?

Life is fluid, unpredictable and constantly changing. The rigidity of goals can send you into a tailspin if, say, your fiancé dumps you at age 27, or a parent becomes ill and you need to financially support them, or you are unable to conceive a child, or the economy crashes and your retirement investments take a plunge.

Technically, you might still be able to meet your goals, but is that going to be what is best for you? You might be able to rustle up someone and still get married by the time you’re 28, but is he or she going to be the right person for you? You might still be able to retire, but will it be the kind of retirement you enjoy?

If life throws you a curve ball (as it often does), what happens to your goals? Do you throw them out the window? Push back the timeline? Get angry with God, because God has not answered your prayers? Play the victim? Dive into that pity party? What happens when you can’t solve the problems you are facing or meet your goals?

You want to be married, you want to make more money, you want life to be easier, etc. When you have the want, and no way to meet it, it’s natural to feel frustrated. Once we feel that frustration, we tend shut down. We end up doing nothing, or we bitch and moan to our friends about how rough we have it. We focus on our lack and on the problem, not on the solution and the good that is present; thereby getting us nowhere.

All in all, goals are not bad. It’s when we get stuck on them and lose sight of the desire behind them when goals start to do us a disservice. The good news is that behind each of your goals and wants is a hidden desire – the underlying wish or longing that brought it into being.

Instead of rigid goals, look at the desires behind the goals/wants. Like:

  • I desire to have a career that uses my gifts and compensates me fairly.
  • I desire a loving companion in my life.
  • I desire to be financially prepared for my future.
  • I desire to love and be caring towards another.

It is not just a matter of changing the word “want” to “desire.” It’s about finding the true desire behind the want.

Think about your goals/wants and desires as if you WANT to book a flight from New York to San Francisco, but the airlines are grounded due to bad weather. So you end up taking a train. Along the way, the train breaks down in Chicago. So you end up jumping on a bus. But there is a whole section of I–80 that is torn up, and you end up taking I–70 instead. However, the bus driver will not go past Las Vegas (something about bad mojo and he doesn’t want to risk his luck on the tables). Since they can’t get another driver in for two days, you end up renting a car to drive the rest of the way. You WANTED to take a flight to San Francisco, but when that did not work out, you did not lose sight of your true desire – to get to San Francisco. You had to use alternate routes than you had planned, and you might have gotten there on a different timeline, but ultimately you still got there.

In this scenario, your goal/want was to take a FLIGHT to San Francisco. The true desire behind it would be to get to San Francisco.

Once you know your true desire, it opens up a world of possibilities. If it is your true desire, there will be no roadblocks to accomplishing it; perhaps a few detours and paths that seem surprising, but never a complete dead end. You won’t let there be a dead end because you know that there is always more than one way to fulfill your desires!

“When a child screams, ‘I want my doll!’ is it the doll, or love and comfort they are looking for?” – Anonymous

Takeaways: Wants/goals are just some solutions that can help you meet your true desires.

Goals are rigid benchmarks, desires are helping to guide you to your happiness.

P.S. I need to clarify something here. Unscribbling is NOT a goal setting book. However, investigating your goals and wants can help you unlock the secret of what your true desires are by looking at their essence.

Are you intimidated by the BIGNESS of your desires?

From the Chapter, “Playing it Safe” in Unscribbling: the art of problem solving and fulfilling your desires.

Break your desires down to bite sized bits.Sometimes when you think of something you want to do, you imagine it in its entirety; in its largeness; in its allness. That can feel intimidating, and make you want to stick your head in the sand and do nothing. But if you reverse–bubble it down to manageable steps, it won’t feel that scary.

Remember, you don’t have to create ALL of the parts of your desire at once. Just start by taking that first baby step. Rome wasn’t built in a day. The Romans had their eyes on the prize, but took one small step after another to achieve greatness.

Take it from Shel Silverstein’s poem about Melinda Mae, who ate a monstrous whale. “She took little bites and she chewed very slow… and in eighty–nine years she ate that whale.” She started with a little bite from the tail.

Where can you start? Reverse-bubble things back to a point where that first step doesn’t feel scary, then dig in and get to work. Eventually, by tackling it bit by bit, you’ll fulfill your desire.

“Be not afraid of going slowly; be afraid only of standing still.”
–Chinese Proverb

Takeaway: You don’t have to take on the “all” of a project. Reverse-bubble* things back from your solution and find that first step. Then take it step by step.

* FYI- In the book we talk more about how to do this. Basically, work all the steps to accomplish your intention back by asking, “What do I need to do to do this part?” etc.

Book Review: “What Make Us Healthy?” by Caroline Myss

I’ll be honest with you, the first time I listened to this my thought was, “Damn! There may be some good content in here, but who likes to be b*tched at for hours on end?” Seriously? If you can’t take tough love, this is NOT the audio book for you. I’m all for the tough love that Caroline Myss is dishing out in the audio, “What makes us Healthy?” I’m all for it, but… listening to it hour after hour is a bit much for even this straight talker. That said, I think this would have translated better as a book.

What Make Us Healthy? by Caroline Myss
In What Makes Us Healthy? best-selling author and internationally renowned speaker Caroline Myss delivers a thought-provoking live lecture on the current state of our health, exploring the mystical forces that create disease or wellness. Describing our evolving-and often misguided-relationship with well-being, Myss explains that to truly be healthy, we need a better understanding of ourselves and the factors that influence our lives. She shows us that we must move away from the illusion that the physical world of money, sex, power, and self-esteem has more authority than the inner world of the psyche and soul. That it is, in fact, our ego that blocks our truth and creates imbalances that lead to illness.
Describing the language of transformation as a sophisticated spiritual journey, Myss shows that healing is an act of the soul: our mind governs our healing, but it is the soul that must lead the way. She teaches us that to truly heal, we must look at the energy of our lives and focus inward-toward the soul and away from the mind.

BUT, if you dare to tough it out and listen to it again, as I did, you will find some great content. And surprisingly it sounded slightly less harsh the second and third time around. Perhaps you get used to it and past the harshness and actually hear the words, or perhaps I am just a wuss and had to get a thicker skin… anyway, tough it out, as there are some great thoughts.

Ms. Myss goes beyond talking about our mind-body connection with our health and brings in the soul-mind-body connection, which is fascinating and takes so many thoughts on healing to another level. You will actually find yourself say, “I need to listen to that again,” as some part of you will know that there is a truth being spoken that you need to hear and incorporate into your life.

Some of the messages that I loved or were resonating with me include:

“It is NOT all about me.”

Basically, she is saying, “get over yourself!” To simplify that thought  it’s saying, if your boss said something to you in a way you didn’t necessarily like – get over it – it might not have had anything to do with you as much as the fact that she broke her toe that morning. It is not all about you/me.

“If your wounds determine your reality, you’re not going to make it… because you can’t see the way it is. All you want is the way you want it to be… “

Are you a victim of your circumstances? You need to switch your thinking in order to heal.

“The importance of honest and integrity is more important than the food we eat and the way we treat out bodies.”

I love this!!! So many people choke down their thoughts, and this does lead to illness in the body. We need to tell the truth, no matter what.

“I can only be an addict because I can’t balance my relationship with truth. I know that my inner world, my inner guidance is more authentic than the outer, but I am not strong enough to follow it. So long as you aren’t strong enough, you are an addict… and you will have to find someone to blame… you become addicted to blaming someone else.”

Love how this is telling you to take responsibility for your life. Stop blaming other people for the way your life is. Accept it and move forward. And follow your inner guidance! We are not all here to live cookie-cutter lives that are exactly like our neighbors or our families. We are here to live our authentic lives. Be who you is, baby!

“This pain is calling me inward…. I need to follow this into myself. Something deeply in me is not congruent, and I need to find out what that is. This is not a pain I drug. It is a pain I listen to. This one is talking to me, because if I listen to it, it will take me to a place where disease will not form. And if I don’t listen to it… it will become a disease… I am a candle in the night taking you to a place where you are lying to yourself, and together we will straighten out that lie. “

I listened to this at the same time I read “Healing Back Pain” by John E. Sarno (if you have back pain read it). As Ms. Myss says, “pain is calling me inward,” and I think Mr. Sarno would agree. Follow your pain and you will find emotional areas that need healing, honesty that needs to be spoken and things that need to be expressed.

“Your only option is to surrender to God, and say, ‘you take over because I can’t manage down here… this is overwhelming… I don’t know what I am doing, so you have to hover over me. Because left to my own devices I will simply want everything for myself. And I will forget that what is in one is in the whole and as above so below…'”

Two points with this one:

1. She often says “Hover over me God.” Which irritated me at first, I think it is because the “god” word has so much baggage attached to it, but I tried it anyway – and darn if it doesn’t just melt away the tension in your shoulders and bring you some instant peace. I like it.

2. “What is in one is in the whole.” She goes on to say something about, “who can I help to heal as I go through this as if it is just for my benefit it is not worth it. Nobody ever asks who else can they help as they deal with their crisis…” I would beg to differ here. I think many foundations are started on the backs of disease of self or a family member. Many books (and blogs) are written to process the pain and help other’s process theirs. We might not outright ask, “who can I help as I deal with my pain?” but we often do act in ways that are about healing more than just ourselves as we deal with our personal pain.

2.5. “What is in one is in the whole.” Often times we feel alone in our pain, but we are all one. You are not alone and your experience may be able to help others. It is still a good thought and questions to bring up. “How can you make you dealing with your pain help others too?”

“Healing is an act of the soul – the mind can not heal.”

Powerful! We can not deny the influence of our mind, but all in all it is the cells that heal internally. The very cells that pulse with the energy of… what can only be our soul’s energy. The same pulse of energy that is in all things – which gets back to “what is in one is in the whole.”

(P.S. If you have not already read Deepak’s “How to know God” do it! He has a whole section in there about quantum physics and spirit/God. EVERYTHING in the world is the result of millions upon millions of pulses of energy at the cellular level. What can that energy be, but spirit/God? – Mind blowing.)

“Heaven waits till you are starving. But what you are generally serve is the thing you end up loving the most. But the thing you never would have ordered on the menu. This stage of evolution is about you developing a starvation appetite for love. But if it was let tup to you, it would be all about you… here, you develop an appetite you can’t figure out what it is. Then one day, somehow, you are in a situation… and you discover you have an ability you didn’t even know you had… and so it begins, your assignment, your awakening. And exactly where you would never choose… you discover you are needed… in a short while you begin to thrive… “

This is just such an exciting thought. Most of the time we just have to get to the point that we will try ANYTHING and then these new experiences that are better than anything we could imagine appear. Ah, dive into the chaos, friends! In the random you will find your inner peace! If you follow where your inner guidance is telling you to go you won’t have to get to that inner point of desperation though.

“I have to get a grip on myself, and I prefer to think it is never me. Not in a narcissistic way, but in a humble way. Thus the grace of humbleness is going to be your great protection as you squeeze yourself down to size. And that will be the greatest lens as we go into understanding how do I reshape my understanding of what happens to me?  How does a virus happen? How do I see things? Unless you can separate yourself from the events and the things and illnesses that happen to you you will never see clearly. And clear sight and truth are going to be your greatest navigating lenses in this new world you live in… in this world… these are systems that run on being congruent and that run on truth. If you are not truthful, you jam your circuits and there is nothing you can do about that… “

Be honest and truthful! And I’ll be honest – I need to think more on the above before I can really make sense of it.

That is kind of how this audio will leave you – getting glimmers of insight, yet knowing you need to contemplate it more to REALLY get it. You will be left slightly confused, yet inspired. Good thing, in this regard, it is an audio book and that makes it easy to listen to it more than once and hopefully get new insights as you need them every time you listen to it.

Change Only Yourself

Point that “you need to change” finger ONLY at yourself! Instead of thinking other people need to change, how can YOU change?

This one is so hard to keep in mind, but so important. It is not saying not to let people know when things are bothering you, but that you cannot force another to change. If you want a change, make a change in YOUR life.
